King James Version

The King James Version (KJV) is an English translation of the Christian Bible. It was commissioned in 1604 and published in 1611, by sponsorship of King James VI and I. The King James Version (KJV) was translated from the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek to a traditional poetic English language. The KJV is one of the most influential and widely read English translations of the Bible. The translation was a result of a desire to provide a new, unified, and authorized version of the Bible for the English-speaking world in 1604. KJV was translated from the five known manuscripts at the time. Since than, over 5,000 manuscripts and manuscripts fragments have since been discovered.
